EquiTheater ~ Skits Performed to Music Lane County 4-H Horse Fair Thursday evening 6 pm, July 15, 2010 |
This contest is for 4-H Horse Club's to enter as a club project, with each routine judged based on the best representation of EquiTheater. No limit of number of routines entered per 4-H Horse Club. Prize money will go to the 4-H Clubs, not given to individuals. Club's entries must be "G" rated, with music, lyrics, costumes and skits to be reviewed and approved by the 4-H EquiTheater Advisory Team. Any questions on suitability of a routine will be referred to Carolyn Ashton.
Spectators Vote For Their Favorite Routine |
Each club's entry will have a maximum of 5 minutes total individual arena time to perform their routine. At the end of the showcase, all the entries in this contest will come back into the arena as a final curtain call, and walk along the rail. The announcer will invite the audience to give a dollar donation as a vote for their favorite routine as that entry passes by. As each entry proceeds down the rail, each club must have a costumed ground based 4-H club member or leader who walks along with their ensemble group to hold a decorated 5 gal. bucket and collect their vote / donation from the spectators. The club with the most votes / donations in their bucket will receive a special people's choice award. The purpose of this exercise is to raise funds for the continuation of 4-H EquiTheater into next year.
